As a native Floridian, Mellissa grew up on the quartz sand beaches of Sarasota. She grew a great appreciation for the natural and spiritual world throughout her life, studying many different religions and practices while being intricately connected with her water spirit, The Mystic Mermaid. As a wiccan and Magik practitioner for most of her life, she has learned many traditional techniques from all over the world. One of these techniques has been the creation of Florida Water or Agua Florida. This tradition has been handed down over centuries and generations of Santeria, Hoodoo and Voodoo practitioners. Once regarded as the best perfume in the world, Florida water is now known to be used to cleanse the body auras, chakras, tools and altars among other things. It can also be used to anoint the body and to attract good fortune and benevolent spirits. It brings up the vibrations anywhere it is used and keeps negativity at bay.
Mellissa practices crystal healing and shadow work using crystals and Magik. Most of her practices are for private use but she is now sharing the blessings of her homemade Florida Water with the world.
